Innovative Solution for Youth Career Guidance in Morocco
Jadara focuses on addressing the issue of inadequate career guidance, particularly for disadvantaged Moroccan youth. This lack of orientation significantly impacts their daily lives and future prospects, keeping them in precarious situations and limiting their opportunities for social mobility. By offering a free and accessible application, Jad serves as an essential resource for these young individuals. The app utilizes inspiring videos and career profiles to help youth discover meaningful careers, overcoming barriers to access information and providing positive role models that encourage motivation and exploration of career paths. The Jad application aims to empower professionals by providing accurate guidance, opening doors to various career opportunities, and reducing inequalities by offering equitable access to information and opportunities, regardless of socio-economic background. With over 1.5 million young people aged 15 to 24 classified as NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) in Morocco, early and quality career guidance could facilitate their professional integration and help address this major challenge.
Target Groups
Jadara targets Moroccan youth, and more broadly African youth, who are affected by social, economic, territorial, gender, or disability-related determinisms and are seeking social mobility. Our target groups vary according to each strategic pillar: The target for the "Succeed with Jadara" pillar includes high school graduates or academically talented students from limited-opportunity backgrounds who wish to pursue a path of academic excellence.
