J'Impact

Yan Anga
Yan Anga, which means "We Are One" in Amazigh, is an innovative initiative designed to address the growing challenges related to civic engagement among youth in Morocco. The current socio-economic context of the country, characterized by social, territorial, disability, and gender inequalities, creates an urgent need to strengthen social cohesion and promote active citizenship among young people. These inequalities, coupled with a growing distrust of public institutions and political processes, exacerbate feelings of disengagement among youth, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. In response to these challenges, the Yan Anga Project is part of the Jadara Foundation’s support program, aimed at equipping young people with the tools necessary to confidently and ambitiously choose and shape their futures. This project directly addresses the need to foster a culture of civic engagement by creating opportunities for youth to not only actively participate in their communities but also become agents of sustainable social change.

Finally, this day provided an opportunity to celebrate the academic excellence and inspiring achievements of these promising young individuals.

It is also noteworthy that scholarship recipients had the opportunity to propose and lead initiatives dedicated to promoting equal opportunities. Additionally, the implementation of an in-depth online survey added a significant dimension by gathering diverse perspectives, thereby enhancing the reach and relevance of the initiative.
